Christmas!

Christmas is a busy time for the Ecclian Society.  We organise the putting up of Christmas Trees in the town  (after they have been prepared and adorned with lights) as well as the Christmas trees at the crossroad and Church.  We also organise the baubles to be decorated by children from Bishop Lonsdale Academy, which are then hung on the big tree at the crossroads roundabout and from Christmas tree brackets along the High Street.  We ask Father Christmas to pay a visit to Eccleshall children before the big day (in association with West Mercia Rotary Society).  We also decorate a tree for the 'Eccleshall Christmas Tree Festival' in Holy Trinity Church.  As if that wasn't enough we then have to take everything back down again after twelfth night!
