In addition to the flower planting the Ecclian Society instal the flags and flagpoles into the wall brackets on the High Street, Stafford Street and Castle Street. For the Coronation of King Charles III in 2023 the mangers were also adorned with ribbons and crowns in addition to the flags.
In 2025 the Ecclian Society hung the flags up to mark the VE Day 80th Anniversary.
The flags are paid for by donations, membership fees and from fundraising events such as Open Gardens.
Volunteers are needed to help prepare the flags, instal them, and get them back down when they need replacing. If you would like to help through donations or volunteering, please get in touch with us, watch this site for news of event and dates when volunteers are needed, or join the Committee.
